Summary

In Week 19 (May 6–12, 2019), total SOS Médecins activity increased among children aged 2–14 (+9.5%, or +1,358 cases) and remained stable in other age groups.

Over the past week, there was an increase in cases related to seasonal conditions: - for asthma attacks among children (+38%, or +103 cases) and, to a lesser extent, among adults (+9.5%, or +46 cases), as well as for allergies among children (+15%, or +75 cases). - for meningitis among 2- to 14-year-olds (+5 cases) and 15- to 74-year-olds (+4 cases). The volume of activity remains close to that of the previous two years.

There was also an increase in procedures: - in children under 2 years of age: for isolated fever (+26%) and vomiting (+21%), - in children aged 2–14: for ENT conditions (+20%) and abdominal pain (+11%), - in those aged 75 and older: for malaise (+45%), heart problems (+15%), and acute abdominal pain (+21%).
