Summary

Due to the technical issue that has been ongoing since the start of Week 8, this week’s report will focus solely on the 42 SOS-Médecins associations that submitted data.

  • In Week 9 of 2017, all-cause activity at SOS-Médecins associations decreased across all age groups, with the exception of children aged 2–14, for whom activity remained stable compared to last week.

  • Among seasonal conditions, consultations for fever alone have stabilized, except among people aged 75 and older (up 38%). Consultations for pneumonia are slightly up among children, and more specifically among those aged 2–14 (+7%). The proportion of activity remains within the ranges observed in the previous two years.The number of consultations for gastroenteritis has stabilized among children and is slightly down among adults. The proportion of activity remains higher than in the previous two years among children. However, there has been an 18% increase in consultations for vomiting among children.Consultations for influenza and bronchitis continued to decline across all age groups (-42% and -21% for all ages), with activity levels lower than in the previous two years. There was also a decrease in activity related to asthma across all age groups except among children under 2 years of age (stable).

  • Among the most common conditions, there was an increase in consultations for allergies (+31%), viral syndrome (+37%), and trauma (+17%) among children aged 2–14. Among adults, there was a slight increase (+14%) in consultations for digestive disorders among those aged 15–74.
