Trends in Overall Activity SOS Médecins activity has remained stable across all age groups for the past three weeks, both nationally and regionally. Case numbers are very close to those observed in 2012 and 2013 for the same period. As in the previous week, among those under 15, there has been a decline in overall activity (-13%, -2,601 consultations) and in seasonal indicators, likely due to school holidays.
Trends in Seasonal Indicators As in the previous week, diagnoses of influenza/influenza-like illness are down across all age groups and for the observed age groups (-23%, -1,202 cases). Case numbers are significantly lower than those in 2012 and 2013. This decrease in the number of cases is also observed in the regions, except in the Central-East and Southeast zones, where case numbers remained stable over the period. After remaining stable the previous week, diagnoses of gastroenteritis are down across all age groups (-11%, -516 cases). Case numbers are close to those observed in 2012 and 2013. Calls to SOS Médecins related to respiratory conditions (bronchitis, pneumonia, asthma) are stable across all age groups, with case numbers similar to those observed in 2012 and 2013. ENT infections across all age groups declined over the period: nasopharyngitis (-12%, -581 cases), otitis (-14%, -456 cases), and laryngitis (-11%, -173 cases).
