Key Points
In Week 10 (March 3–9, 2025), compared to the previous week, activity at SOS Médecins clinics increased among children aged 2–14 (+6%, or +1,114 visits) and remained stable in other age groups.
The decline in cases related to acute respiratory conditions continues, particularly for influenza/flu-like illness, which continues to decrease across all age groups (-24%, or -476 cases). At the same time, there was an increase in cases of upper respiratory tract infections among 2- to 14-year-olds (+7%, or +496 cases) and of asthma among children (+13%, or +39 cases). Cases related to allergies are also on the rise, particularly among 2- to 14-year-olds (+35%, or +111 cases).
Regarding indicators related to acute digestive disorders, procedures for gastroenteritis and vomiting are on the rise among children (up 12% and 7%, respectively, or 295 and 20 procedures). Abdominal pain is also on the rise among 2- to 14-year-olds (+17%, or +64 cases) as well as among 15- to 74-year-olds (+6%, or +78 cases).
Among other indicators, there was an increase in procedures for conjunctivitis (+6%, or +28 procedures) and for trauma (+28%, or +132 procedures) among 2- to 14-year-olds. Among adults, procedures for trauma are also on the rise (+13%, or +286 procedures), as are procedures for low back pain/sciatica (+8%, or +226 procedures), and for depression among those aged 15–44 (+15%, or +26 procedures). Among those aged 75 and older, there was an increase in procedures for isolated fever (+36%, or +20 procedures) and for urinary tract infections (+14%, or +31 procedures).
