Overall Activity TrendsOver the past week, SOS Médecins activity increased by 16% compared to the previous week (+7,400 consultations). This increase was most pronounced among the youngest and oldest age groups: +25% among children under 5 years old (+2,187 visits) and +20% among people aged 75 and older (+1,065 visits). Observed across all regions, this increase is linked to the Ascension Day long weekend. The numbers are slightly higher than those of the previous two years for the same period.

Trends in Seasonal Indicators The rise in indicators for asthma attacks and allergies continued over the past week: +21% for asthma (+102 visits, 91 of which involved adults aged 15–74) and +19% for allergies (+175 visits). The trends and numbers for these two indicators are comparable to those of the previous two years. An upward trend in these indicators is noted in all regions except the two areas in southern France. An increase in consultations for isolated fever was noted toward the end of the past week, affecting all age groups (+27%, +222 cases). The numbers are similar to those of 2012 for this period. An increase in visits for insect bites was noted over the past week (+29%, or +59 visits). The rise in this indicator is slightly earlier than that observed in 2012, but is close to that seen in 2013.

Diagnoses of chickenpox are also increasing (+187 visits). Among adults, there has been an increase in consultations for urinary tract infections, bronchitis, tonsillitis, and nasopharyngitis.
