Summary

In Week 25 (June 18–24), overall activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable across all age groups.

Among seasonal conditions, there was an increase in visits for insect bites and heatstroke across all age groups (all ages combined: +16%, or +127 visits, and +269%, or +105 visits, respectively) and in visits for burns among those aged 15–74. Furthermore, visits for viral meningitis and conjunctivitis are on the rise among children aged 2–14 and adults aged 75 and older, respectively, but involve small numbers of cases (fewer than 10 additional visits).

Among the non-specific indicators, there was an increase in visits for dehydration among adults (+111%, or +41 visits), for isolated fever among adults aged 15–74 (+11%, or +32 visits), and for malaise among those aged 2–14 (18 visits in S25 compared to 8 in S24). The proportions of activity associated with all of these indicators are comparable to those observed over the past two years.

Among the most common conditions, there was an increase in visits for dental problems among children under 2 years of age (+66%). Among people aged 75 and older, there was a marked increase in visits for heart failure (+63%).
