Activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable over the past week across all age groups, both nationally and regionally, with patient numbers comparable to those of 2012 and 2013 for the same period. The asthma attack indicator is stable, though there is a slight decrease among adults over 15 years of age (-18%; 226 weekly cases). Activity related to this indicator remains slightly higher than in previous seasons (2011 and 2012) and accounts for 1% of the associations’ activity. The allergy indicator is down (-16%, 681 cases per week) for adults and children over 5 years of age. Activity related to this indicator remains higher than in 2011 and 2012 and accounts for 1.5% of SOS Médecins’ activity. Calls to SOS Médecins for gastroenteritis are stable across all age groups, with numbers comparable to 2011 and 2012. This indicator remains among the top reported conditions (along with ENT conditions) and accounts for 4% of the total activity of the association’s doctors. Seasonal indicators: The heatstroke indicator is down slightly, while the dehydration and malaise indicators are stable over the period, all three for patient numbers comparable to 2011 and 2012. Regionally, slight peaks in activity related to the heat indicator (dehydration + heatstroke) are observed, particularly in the northeast.Among children under 15, there was a 23% increase in diagnoses of tonsillitis (1,877 weekly cases, +23%) and isolated fevers (750 weekly cases, +12%).
