Summary

In Week 24 (June 10–16, 2019), total SOS Médecins activity increased among children under 15 (+7.2%, or +1,451 cases) and remained stable among adults.

Over the past week, as in Week 23, non-specific and seasonal indicators were mostly down, with the exception of cases for asthma attacks (+20%; +11 cases) among children under 2, for insect bites (+22%; +57 cases) among 2- to 14-year-olds, and for the past two consecutive weeks for chickenpox (+28%; +12 cases) among 15- to 74-year-olds.

Among the most common conditions, there has been an increase in visits for:

  • gastroenteritis (+13%, or +161 visits) among children under 15 and trauma among children aged 2–14 only (+22%, or +106 visits);

  • ENT conditions among those under 15: +11% (+907 procedures) and among those aged 15–74: +7% (+546 procedures).

There was also an increase in procedures for urinary tract infections (+11%) and abdominal pain (+10%) among those aged 15–74.
