Summary

In Week 27 (July 1–7, 2019), total SOS Médecins activity remained stable across all age groups.
Over the past week, all seasonal and non-specific indicators were either down or stable. The sharpest decline was observed for cases related to heatstroke (-72% among children under two and -46% in other age groups). These cases still account for a high percentage of total activity (1%, or 694 cases).

Among the most common conditions, there was an increase in procedures for:

  • children under 2 years of age for skin conditions (+39%, or +45 cases), infectious conjunctivitis (+36%, or +59 cases), and stomatology/ENT (+31%, or +33 cases);

  • children aged 2–14 and adults aged 15–74 for acute abdominal pain (+12%, or +169 procedures) and respiratory tract conditions (+11%, or +1,562 procedures);

  • people aged 75 and older for urinary tract infections (+17%, or +39 visits), low back pain (+12%, or +28 visits), and general health deterioration (+11%, or +41 visits).
