SOS Médecins National Newsletter, July 5, 2021
Summary
In Week 26 (June 28–July 4, 2021), total activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable across all age groups.
After four weeks of significant decline, medical procedures for suspected COVID-19 across all age groups remained stable for the second consecutive week (662 procedures in Week 26 vs. 686 procedures in Week 25, a decrease of 3%). The share of activity was also stable (0.98% in Week 26 vs. 1.02% in Week 25). These procedures increased slightly among those aged 45–64 (+13%, or +10 procedures) and remained stable or decreased in other age groups. At the regional level, SOS Médecins calls for suspected COVID-19 cases were stable or declining, with the exception of the following five regions: Martinique (+85%, or +11 calls), Brittany (+41%, or +11 calls), PACA (+25%, or +13 cases), Île-de-France (+20%, or +22 cases), and Normandy (+6%, or +4 cases). Since monitoring began on March 3, 2020, 224,891 medical procedures for suspected COVID-19 have been performed.
