Key Points

In Week 26 (June 27–July 3, 2022), total activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable or declined across all age groups.

Medical procedures for suspected COVID-19 rose for the fifth consecutive week across all age groups: +102% among children under 2 years old (+48 procedures), +57% (or +732 procedures) among those aged 15–74, +44% (or +178 procedures) among those aged 2–14, and +20% (or +22 procedures) among those aged 75 and older. In total, 2,855 procedures (vs. 1,871 procedures in S25) were recorded across all age groups (i.e., +53% vs. +51% in S25). These procedures rank second among the most frequent procedures for adults and fifth for children. At the regional level, the highest increases were observed in Brittany (+151%, or +56 procedures), Occitanie (+92%, or +72 procedures), Corsica (+84%, or +71 procedures), Pays de la Loire (+75%, or +100 procedures), Hauts-de-France (+69%, or +87 procedures), Nouvelle-Aquitaine (+69%, or +169 cases), and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (+62%, or +90 cases). Since monitoring began on March 3, 2020, 353,875 medical procedures for suspected COVID-19 have been performed.

Most other indicators are stable or declining, with the exception of a slight increase in procedures for influenza/flu-like syndrome among those aged 15–74 (+12%, or +71 procedures) and among children under 2 in small cohorts (+67%, or +10 procedures), as well as for viral syndrome across all ages (+9%, or +97 cases) and trauma among those aged 75 and older (+13%, or +33 cases).
