Summary
In week 30 of 2017 (July 24–30), as in week 29, the overall activity of SOS Médecins clinics declined across all age groups (-4%) and particularly among children under 15 (-11%).
Most seasonal summer illnesses are down across all age groups. However, there was an increase in visits for fainting spells among people aged 75 and older (+36%, corresponding to +31 cases) as well as a slight increase in visits for infectious conjunctivitis among adults over 15 (+6%).
Most of the most common conditions are also on the decline across all age groups. Nevertheless, among children under 2 years of age, there is an increase in visits for gastroenteritis (+18%), ENT conditions (+33%), and dermatological conditions (+15%), and among adults aged 75 and older, there is an increase in visits for abdominal pain (+24%), cardiac problems (+24%), and pneumonia (+15%).
