Summary

In Week 30 (July 23–29), overall activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable across all age groups.

Following a week marked by extreme heat, the following trends were observed: - Among seasonal conditions, an increase in visits for heatstroke across all age groups (all ages combined: +140%, or +263 visits), insect bites (+17%), and burns (+15%) among adults. - Among non-specific indicators, an increase in visits for dehydration across all age groups (+61%, or +69 visits), isolated fever among adults (+13%, or +54 visits), and general malaise among those aged 15–74 (+8%, or +21 visits). Furthermore, among children under 2 years of age, there was an increase in chickenpox (+30%, or +29 visits).

Among the most common conditions, there was an increase in visits for diarrhea and gastroenteritis (+30%, or +24 visits, and +9%, or +16 visits, respectively) among children under 2 years of age, vomiting and bronchitis (+40%, or +64 visits, and +7%, or +18 visits, respectively) among 2- to 14-year-olds, and dental problems (+6%, or +51 visits) among 15- to 74-year-olds. Among those over 75, there was an increase in visits due to death (+37%, or +92 visits).
