Summary
In Week 28 (July 8–14, 2019), total SOS Médecins activity decreased by 17% among children (-4,022 visits), remained stable among those aged 15–74, and increased slightly among those aged 75 and older (+4%, or +292 visits).
Over the past week, seasonal and non-specific indicators were down or stable, with the exception of visits for isolated fever among adults (up 25%, or 102 visits) and for viral meningitis among those aged 15–74 (up 10 visits, or 83%).
Among the most common conditions, we note that:
All are down or stable among children;
visits for low back pain/sciatica (+8%, or +192 visits) and gastroenteritis (9%, or +210 visits) are on the rise among adults and constitute the second and third most frequent reasons for visits among adults;
among those aged 75 and older, procedures are on the rise for trauma (+15%, or +67 procedures), bronchitis (+18.5%, or +40 procedures), and requests for administrative certificates (+28.5%, or +43 procedures).
