Key Points
In Week 27 (July 3–9, 2023), activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable across all age groups.
Among those aged 75 and older, there was an increase in most procedures, with low to moderate case volumes, particularly regarding respiratory conditions: upper respiratory tract disorders, pneumonia, and bronchitis (up 33%, 14%, +18%, and +51, +23, +31 procedures, respectively) and asthma attacks (+77%, or +13 procedures), as well as for fainting spells (+15%, or +9 procedures) and heatstroke (+7 procedures).
Among children, there was an increase in cases of vomiting among those aged 2–14 (+32%, or +71 cases), and among children under 2 for allergies (+29%, or +31 cases), trauma (+12%, or +7 cases), and isolated fever (+16%, or +59 cases).
Regarding mental health indicators, there was a slight increase in cases of depressive states among those aged 65 and older (+46%, or +11 cases).
