Over the past week, activity at SOS Médecins clinics has remained stable across all age groups, both nationally and regionally. The asthma attack indicator remains stable and at a low level. Activity related to asthma attacks and allergies has remained stable over this period across all age groups, with numbers very slightly higher than in 2011. The gastroenteritis indicator has been stable since the end of May and remains at a low level, comparable to 2011 for the same period. Diagnoses of gastroenteritis account for 3% of SOS Médecins’ activity. The death indicator is stable, remaining within normal ranges. The main conditions reported across all age groups are tonsillitis, nasopharyngitis, ear infections, and gastroenteritis. There has been a 13% increase in isolated fever cases among children under 15.
Seasonal indicators: Activity related to heatstroke and dehydration remains low over the period. The indicator for fainting spells has risen very slightly, to a level slightly higher than in 2011 and 2010, with a peak of 50 cases at the end of the week, primarily affecting the Pays de la Loire, Aquitaine, Rhône-Alpes, and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur regions.
