Key Points

  • In Week 26 (June 24–30, 2024), activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable across all age groups.

  • Among respiratory indicators, the following were observed:

    • An increase in cases of acute bronchitis (+32%, or +37 cases) among children under 2 years of age.

    • An increase in cases of whooping cough across all age groups (+18%, or +69 cases).

    • A decrease in cases for suspected COVID-19 across all age groups.

  • Among other indicators:

    • Among children, there was an increase in procedures for viral syndrome (+16%, or +19 procedures) and for various skin conditions (+43%, or +46 procedures) in children under 2 years of age. Among 2- to 14-year-olds, there was an increase in cases of conjunctivitis (+13%, or +50 cases) and insect bites (+52%, or +147 cases). Among children under 15, there was an increase in visits for isolated fever (+37%, or +271 visits) and for chickenpox (+36%, or +229 visits).

    • Among adults aged 15 and older, there was an increase in visits for general malaise (+11%, or +28 visits). Among those aged 15–74, there was an increase in visits for isolated fever (+14%, or +34 visits), for trauma (+6%, or +120 visits), and for conjunctivitis (+18%, or +79 visits). Among those aged 75 and older, there was an increase in visits for dehydration (+25%, or +7 visits).

  • Visits for allergies increased across all age groups (+8%, or +154 visits).
