Activity at SOS Médecins clinics increased last week (+17%) among adults under 75 and children, with case numbers slightly higher than in 2012 and 2011 for the same period. The flu indicator has risen sharply (+60%; 8,154 cases), a trend observed among children and adults under 75. Flu diagnoses account for nearly 15% of total SOS Médecins activity, with numbers slightly higher than in 2012 and 2011 for the same period. Among children under 2 years of age, the number of calls for respiratory conditions is increasing (+19%); however, diagnoses of bronchiolitis remain down (-13%) at a level lower than in 2012 and 2011 for the same period. Diagnoses of gastroenteritis are down, with case numbers comparable to those of the 2010–2011 and 2011–2012 seasons for the same period. The measles indicator is stable and at a low level. The mortality rate is comparable to 2011 and 2012 for the same period. Influenza is the most common condition encountered in patients’ homes across all age groups by association physicians; this is followed by gastroenteritis, respiratory conditions such as bronchitis, and ENT conditions (otitis, nasopharyngitis, tonsillitis).
