Summary

In Week 52 (December 24–30), the first week of school holidays, total activity at SOS Médecins clinics increased across all age groups except for children aged 2–14. There was an increase of approximately +10% among children under 2 and adults aged 15–74 (+5,089 visits) and +30% among those aged 75 and older (+2,191 visits).

Over the past week, notable increases in activity were observed for seasonal respiratory conditions, particularly: - Influenza and flu-like illness (+27%, or +517 cases), at levels lower than the previous two years, and pneumonia (+52%, or +345 cases) among adults, - Bronchitis and ENT conditions in all age groups except 2-14-year-olds (+32% and +15%, respectively), with ENT conditions exceeding levels from the previous two years. Also notable is the increase in visits for: - Chickenpox in children (a doubling of cases), - Infectious conjunctivitis in adults (+34%) and 2- to 14-year-olds (+20%), at levels higher than in the previous two years, - Vomiting (+27%) and gastroenteritis (+24%) in adults only.

With the exception of trauma, all of the most common conditions are on the rise among those aged 75 and older.
