Summary

  • In week 52, there was an increase in activity at SOS Médecins clinics among adults over 15 years of age, particularly those over 75 (+26%), covering all seasonal illnesses.

  • Consultations for influenza/flu-like illness continue to rise among children under two years of age and adults over 15 years of age, with a higher proportion of influenza-related activity than in the previous two years (13% across all age groups). This increase is more pronounced among adults aged 75 and older (+80%).

  • Among adults over 15 years of age, other winter illnesses (upper respiratory tract infections, bronchitis, pneumonia, gastroenteritis, and vomiting) are on the rise. For bronchitis and pneumonia, the increase is most pronounced among adults aged 75 and older (+50%), with a higher proportion of cases in coded activity than in the previous two years.

  • Consultations for bronchiolitis are declining, following a trend similar to the previous two years.

  • There has been an increase in consultations for heart failure among adults aged 75 and older, though this involves a small number of cases (91 consultations).
