Summary

In Week 05 (January 27–February 2), total activity increased among 2- to 14-year-olds (+11.7%, or +3,254 procedures) for the third consecutive week and among 15- to 74-year-olds (+6.9%, or +3,424 procedures).

Over the past week, the main increases were observed for:

  • respiratory conditions: influenza/flu-like illness among children (+49%, or +1,995 visits) and among adults (+42%, or +2,414 visits), accounting for 15% of SOS Médecins visits; pneumonia (+23.5%, or +198 visits across all ages); bronchitis (+13%, or +702 visits across all ages), ENT conditions (+9%, or +2,508 visits across all ages), and asthma attacks among those aged 15–74 only (+25%, or +126 visits);

  • isolated fever across all age groups (+9.6%, or +126 cases), viral syndrome among 2- to 14-year-olds (+23%, or +194 cases), and infectious conjunctivitis among 2- to 14-year-olds and 15- to 74-year-olds (respectively +12.8% and +7.3%, or +49 and +20 cases).

Regarding influenza, all metropolitan regions and the Antilles are in the epidemic phase. French Guiana is entering the pre-epidemic phase.

Cases of gastroenteritis continue to decline across all age groups and are returning to levels comparable to those of the previous two years during this period.
