Key Points

In Week 08 (February 21–27, 2022), total activity across all age groups at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable in all age groups.

Procedures for suspected COVID-19 continued to decline among both children (-16%) and adults (-13%). In total, 1,278 procedures (vs. 1,495 in Week 7) were recorded across all age groups (a decrease of 13% vs. 25% in Week 7 and 36% in Week 6). Suspected COVID-19 ranks 9th among the most common conditions for both the 2–14 age group and the 15–74 age group. Procedures are stable or declining in most regions, with the exception of Hauts-de-France (+21%, or +21 procedures) and Normandy (+17%, or +20 procedures). Since monitoring began on March 3, 2020, 327,798 medical procedures for suspected COVID-19 have been performed.

Nearly all seasonal indicators are stable or declining, with the exception of an increase in procedures for influenza/influenza-like illness among those aged 15–74 (+27%, or +426 procedures) and gastroenteritis among those aged 2–14 (+7%, or +95 procedures), with levels higher than in previous years. Treatments for trauma are on the rise among those aged 2–14 (+46%, or +113 treatments), linked to the start of the school year in Zone B. Among the most common conditions, there has also been an increase in treatments for heart failure (+15%, or +17 treatments) and urinary tract infections (+10%, or +16 treatments) among those aged 75 and older.
