Nationally and across regions, activity at SOS clinics remains stable across all age groups; however, there has been a decline in activity among 5- to 14-year-olds (-23%), with case numbers comparable to those of the same period in 2012.
Influenza-related activity continues to decline nationally and across all age groups (-18%, 7,809 cases in the past week), particularly among 5- to 14-year-olds (-33%). This trend is also seen regionally; only the Southwest and West regions maintain stable influenza-related activity. However, this indicator remains at a higher level than during the 2010–2011 and 2011–2012 seasons for the same period, accounting for 12% of reported diagnoses.
Among children under 2 years of age, bronchiolitis is on the rise (+23%), although the number of cases remains low (168 over the period). The numbers are comparable to those of 2010–2011 and 2011–2012 for the same period.
Calls to SOS Médecins for gastroenteritis have decreased slightly over the period and account for 8% of reported diagnoses.
Measles-related activity remains stable at a low level. Death-related activity is stable and comparable to the 2011–2012 season for the same period.
The most frequently encountered conditions across all age groups are influenza, nasopharyngitis, and gastroenteritis.
