Key Points
In week 07 (February 12–18, 2024), activity at SOS Médecins clinics declined among 2- to 14-year-olds (-7%, or 2,092 fewer visits) and remained stable in other age groups.
Seasonal respiratory indicators continued to decline across all age groups, but more markedly among children. Consultations for influenza/flu-like illness across all ages declined for the second consecutive week (-25%, or 3,923 fewer consultations). Consultations for pneumonia and acute bronchitis, which were much higher than in previous years, are down among children (down 13% and 11%, respectively) and stable or down among adults (down 7% for acute bronchitis).
Among the other indicators monitored, there is a slight increase in procedures among children under 2 years of age for most indicators (between +20% and +30%, with small sample sizes) and among adults for trauma, urinary tract infections, and conjunctivitis (respectively 17%, or +312 procedures, +13% or +207 procedures, and +12% or +54 procedures).
Finally, regarding mental health indicators, there was an increase in procedures for anxiety among those aged 15–44 and 45–64 (+17%, or +140 procedures).
