Key Points
In Week 07 (February 10–16, 2025), activity at SOS Médecins clinics rose slightly among those aged 75 and older (+6%, or +340 visits), while it declined among those aged 2–14 (-16%, or -4,675 visits). It remained stable among those under 2 and those aged 15–74 compared to the previous week.
Cases of influenza/flu-like illness continued to decline for the third consecutive week across all age groups (-21%, or 4,482 fewer cases compared to the previous week). They account for 18% of cases among children and adults, and although declining, remain at a higher level than in the past three years.
Among other respiratory conditions, the decline continues mainly among 2- to 14-year-olds. In contrast, an increase is observed among children under 2 and those aged 75 and older, particularly for pneumonia, up by +40% (+15 cases) and +7% (+29 cases), respectively. Among children under 2, there was an increase in procedures for bronchiolitis (+38%, or +71 procedures) and acute bronchitis (+18%, or +31 procedures), while among those aged 75 and older, there was an increase in upper respiratory tract infections (+15%, or +43 cases) and asthma attacks (+30%, or +17 cases).
Excluding respiratory conditions, there was an increase in procedures for gastroenteritis among children under 2 and adults (10% and 6% respectively, or 42 and 236 procedures) and for trauma (39% and 7% respectively among those aged 75 and older, or 11 and 19 procedures).
Finally, regarding mental health, there was an increase in procedures for anxiety among those aged 45–64 (+23%, or +43 procedures) and for depressive disorders among those aged 65 and older (+67%, or +10 procedures).
