Key Points
In Week 6 (February 5–11, 2024), activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable across all age groups.
Seasonal respiratory indicators are generally on the decline. For the first week, the number of cases of influenza/flu-like illness decreased among those under 15 (-14%) and among those 15 and older (-12%). The same is true for suspected COVID-19 infections (-37% among those under 15, -27% among those 15 and older).
Pneumonia cases remain significantly higher than in previous years, are down among those under 15 (-8%), and stable among those 15 and older. Similarly, cases of acute bronchitis are higher than in previous years and are increasing among children under 2 (+12%) and those 75 and older (+7%).
Among other monitored indicators, we note an increase in conjunctivitis (+20% across all age groups), at levels comparable to previous years.
Treatments for anxiety rose sharply among those under 15 (+89%), though the total number remained low (+17 treatments) and comparable to previous years.
