Key Points

  • In Week 6 (February 5–11, 2024), activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable across all age groups.

  • Seasonal respiratory indicators are generally on the decline. For the first week, the number of cases of influenza/flu-like illness decreased among those under 15 (-14%) and among those 15 and older (-12%). The same is true for suspected COVID-19 infections (-37% among those under 15, -27% among those 15 and older).

  • Pneumonia cases remain significantly higher than in previous years, are down among those under 15 (-8%), and stable among those 15 and older. Similarly, cases of acute bronchitis are higher than in previous years and are increasing among children under 2 (+12%) and those 75 and older (+7%).

  • Among other monitored indicators, we note an increase in conjunctivitis (+20% across all age groups), at levels comparable to previous years.

  • Treatments for anxiety rose sharply among those under 15 (+89%), though the total number remained low (+17 treatments) and comparable to previous years.
