Key Points
In week 48, from November 27 to December 3, 2023, overall activity in the network remained stable across all age groups.
Among children under one year of age, bronchiolitis showed a relative decrease (-6%) for the first week and was comparable to 2022.
Among children under 15, all seasonal respiratory indicators are on the rise. Procedures for pneumonia continue to increase (+36%) to levels far higher than in previous years. We note an increase in suspected COVID-19 infections (+19%) and influenza/flu-like illness (+11%).
Among adults, respiratory indicators are on the rise, such as suspected COVID-19 infections (+28%), influenza/influenza-like illness (+34%), pneumonia (+23%, significantly higher than in previous years), acute bronchitis (+14%), and upper respiratory tract conditions (+9%).
Among other indicators, cases are increasing for vomiting (+12%), conjunctivitis across all age groups (+7%), and asthma in those over 15 years of age (+9%), at levels comparable to previous years.
