Summary

In week 48 (November 26–December 2), total activity at SOS Médecins clinics continued to rise slightly (for the third consecutive week) among children (+7%, or +2,048 visits), as well as among adults aged 15–74 (+4.6%, or +1,831 visits).

Over the past week, there was a notable increase in visits for: - bronchiolitis and asthma in children under 2 years of age: +18% and +20% respectively; all metropolitan regions (except Corsica), Guadeloupe, and Martinique are reported to be in an epidemic phase for bronchiolitis, - other respiratory conditions in both children and adults (influenza/flu-like syndrome: 15% in children, bronchitis: +7.3% in children and +13.2% in adults, pneumonia +17.6% in 2- to 14-year-olds and +18.9% in 15- to 74-year-olds, upper respiratory tract conditions +12% in 2- to 14-year-olds and +10.2% in 15- to 74-year-olds, asthma attacks: +10.5% among 15-74-year-olds), - gastroenteritis across all age groups: +9.9% among children and +11.9% among adults, and vomiting among children under 2 years of age only (+27.5%), - infectious conjunctivitis (+24%) among children under 15 for the second consecutive week (+20% in week 47),

All indicators are at levels consistent with or close to those of previous years.
