Summary

In Week 51 (December 16–22), total activity rose slightly among children under 2 years of age (+5.3%, or +403 procedures) and people aged 75 and older (+4.9%, or +331 procedures).

Over the past week, notable increases were observed for:

• Influenza and influenza-like illness across all age groups (+27.4%, or 639 cases) and bronchitis (+7%, or 226 cases) among adults. Four regions have entered the pre-epidemic phase: Île-de-France, Occitanie, Pays de la Loire, and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur;

• Gastroenteritis in adults (+8.4%, or 399 cases) and vomiting in all age groups except those aged 75 and older (+10% across all ages, or 105 cases);

• Isolated fever (+11%, or +77 cases) among children and infectious conjunctivitis in all age groups (+24.3%, or +249 cases).

Visits for bronchiolitis decreased slightly in week 51 (-3.9%). All metropolitan regions as well as the Antilles (except St. Barthélemy) remain in the epidemic phase.

Among the most common conditions, notable increases include visits for viral syndrome in children (+12.4%) and, among those aged 75 and older, urinary tract infections (+8.9%) and various cardiac conditions (+5%).
