Nationwide, SOS Médecins activity across all age groups has been gradually increasing since mid-November, remaining at a level comparable to that of 2012. The main conditions reported across all age groups over the past week are acute respiratory infections (+13%, +615 cases), gastroenteritis (+13%, +511 cases), influenza (+25%, +202 cases), and bronchitis (+12%, +327 cases). Activity related to these indicators is comparable to that of 2011 and 2012. Analysis by indicator and age group: Among children under 2 years of age, bronchiolitis is on the rise (+19%, +88 cases). This increase is observed particularly in the North, Northeast, West, and Southwest regions. Nationally, case numbers are comparable to those of 2012. The increase in the gastroenteritis indicator mainly concerns children under 15 years of age (+14%, +246 cases) and adults aged 15 to 74 (+12%, +255 cases). The increase in influenza cases over the past week affects all age groups (+35%, +65 cases) among those under 15 and (+32%, +137 cases) among adults over 15. The increase in bronchitis diagnoses is mainly observed among those aged 5–14 (+19%, +73 cases) and those aged 15–44 (+13%, +144 cases). The asthma attack indicator is stable across all age groups. The numbers are comparable to those of 2012. However, an increase is observed among children under 2 years of age (+12%, +35 cases).
