Trends in Major ConditionsAmong children under 2 years of age, the most common conditions remain stable. Among children aged 2 to 14, there has been a notable increase in visits for influenza/flu-like illness (+54%) and vomiting (+17%). Among adults under 75, the most frequently seen conditions are generally on the rise, particularly for influenza/flu-like illness and ENT infections, while among adults over 75, there is notably an increase in visits for gastroenteritis (+52%).
Trends in Seasonal Indicators Among children under 2 years of age, the number of visits for bronchiolitis began to stabilize over the past week, with an 8% increase (equivalent to 47 additional visits). With 596 visits over the past week, the number of cases is at the level of the 2012 peak and below that of the 2013 peak. The epidemic’s trajectory remains variable by region, with the peak having passed in the Île-de-France region and numbers higher than in previous years, while the number of visits is still rising in other regions. Consultations for influenza/flu-like illness are rising sharply across all age groups, particularly among children aged 2 to 14 (+54%, or +136 visits) and among adults under 75 (+34%, or +251 visits). The trend and numbers (1,446 weekly visits) are very similar to those in 2012 and 2013, both nationally and across all regions. Visits for bronchitis and pneumonia are up by 15 to 20% among adults under 75, but remain stable in other age groups, with numbers higher than in 2012 and 2013, more notably for bronchitis, both nationally and regionally. Consultations for gastroenteritis are on the rise among adults, most notably among those over 75 years of age (+52%, or +67 visits), and are stable among children under 15 years of age, with trends similar to previous years and slightly higher numbers (5,067 weekly visits). This increase is visible in all regions, but it is more pronounced in the Northeast and Southeast, where visits for this condition account for more than 10% of the total number of visits.Consultations for asthma are stable across all age groups, but the number of visits remains significantly higher than in 2012 and 2013 during the same period, particularly in the Île-de-France, North, and West regions.
