Summary

  • In week 34 (August 21–27, 2017), following an increase in activity in week 33 (the weekend of August 15), total activity at SOS Médecins clinics declined (-12%) across all age groups.

  • Consultations for seasonal conditions were stable or down, with the exception of: - among children aged 2–14: for isolated fever (+16%), malaise (+114%, or +8 cases), and conditions directly related to heat (+50%, or +6 cases), - among adults: for malaise (+26%) among those aged 15–74 and for isolated fever (+9%) among those aged 75 and older. The proportion of seasonal conditions in total activity is comparable to that of the previous two years.

  • Most of the conditions most frequently seen in consultations are declining, with the exception of consultations for gastroenteritis, which are on the rise among children aged 2–14 and, to a lesser extent, among adults aged 15–74 (respectively +8% and +2%); also worth noting is a rise in consultations for viral syndrome (+7%) and trauma (+6%) among children aged 2–14.
