Summary

In week 32 (August 6–12), total activity at SOS Médecins clinics decreased by 4.4% among children (-605 visits), remained stable among those aged 15–74, and rose slightly among those over 75 (+3.8%, or +303 visits).

This week, heat-related indicators declined across all age groups: hyperthermia/heatstroke (-33%, or -185 visits), dehydration (-9.3%, or -25 visits), isolated fever (-16.3%, or -202 visits), malaise (-16.6%, or -67 visits). Visits for insect bites are also down by 19% across all age groups (or -233 visits). The activity level for this indicator remains higher than in the previous two years among adults. However, there was an increase in visits for asthma attacks among both children (+40%, or +42 visits) and those aged 15–74 (+27.4%, or +64 visits). The activity level remains within the usual range.

Among the most common conditions, the only notable increases remain small in scale (no more than 50 additional visits compared to the previous week): dental problems in children under 2 years of age (+31%), trauma in children aged 2–14 (+10%), urinary tract infections (+10.5%), heart failure (+25%), and other cardiac problems (+13%) in adults over 75 years of age.
