Summary

In Week 17 (April 23–29), total activity at SOS Médecins clinics declined among children (-6%, -1,106 visits) and remained stable among adults.

Among seasonal conditions, there was an increase in visits for infectious conjunctivitis (+10%) and viral meningitis (+67%) among children. Among adults, the increase in visits was due to insect bites (+12%, +47 visits). Consultations for chickenpox are also on the rise among 2- to 14-year-olds (+19%) and 15- to 74-year-olds (+48%). Following a significant increase observed in week 16 (April 16–22), consultations across all age groups for allergies, burns, and heatstroke are declining. However, a moderate increase in allergies is observed among those over 75 years old (+15%).

Among nonspecific indicators, there is an increase in visits for isolated fever among 2- to 14-year-olds (+8%) and asthma among those over 75 (+24%). Visits for malaise are slightly up among 2- to 14-year-olds (+11%) and among 15- to 64-year-olds (+6%).

Among the most common conditions in children, there was an increase in visits for viral syndrome among those under 2 years of age (+30%, +42 visits) and acute abdominal pain among those aged 2–14 (+12%, +34 visits). Among adults, visits increased for anxiety (+12%, +103 visits) and urinary tract infections (+13%, +186 visits) among those aged 15–74.

Finally, visits for measles have increased among children (+100%, +55 visits).
