Summary

  • In week 13 of 2017, the overall activity of SOS Médecins clinics remained stable across all age groups.

  • Among seasonal conditions, asthma (+15%) and allergy (+31%) indicators showed a sharp increase across all age groups, except for asthma-related visits, which decreased among children under two years of age. The proportion of visits for allergies was higher than in the previous two years. Furthermore, there has been a continued increase in consultations for isolated fever (+9%) among children aged 2–14 and adults aged 15 and older, as well as for pneumonia (+8%) and upper respiratory tract conditions (+8%) among adults. The shares of activity are comparable to or lower than in previous years for the indicators of isolated fever and pneumonia, and slightly higher for upper respiratory tract conditions.

  • There was also an increase in activity for vomiting among adults aged 15–74 (+22%), with a share of activity comparable to that of the previous two years. The number of consultations for gastroenteritis continued to decline across all age groups.

  • Among the most common conditions, there was an increase in consultations for infectious conjunctivitis in children, for ENT/stomatology and chickenpox in children under 2 years of age, and for viral syndrome in children aged 2–14 years. Among adults, there was an increase in consultations for acute abdominal pain and various traumas, as well as for urinary tract infections and heart failure in people aged 75 and older.
