Overall Activity Trends

SOS Médecins activity over the past week varied by age group: it decreased among children and increased among adults over 15 years of age (+12%, +3,344 consultations). The numbers are higher than those for the same period in 2012 and 2013.

Trends in seasonal indicators

Among those aged 75 and older, there was an increase in diagnoses of bronchitis (+24%, +70 cases), pneumonia (+12%, +19 cases), and medical care sought due to deterioration in general health (+13%, +29 cases). An increase of 60 deaths was recorded. However, the level reached (219 weekly deaths) is within the range observed for 2013.

Following an increase in allergy diagnoses observed the previous week, this indicator has decreased over the past week across all age groups (-12%, -118 cases). This indicator accounts for less than 2% of the associations’ overall activity. Case numbers are lower than those for the same period in 2013.

The asthma attack indicator is stable across all age groups, at a level comparable to that of 2013. Activity related to this condition accounts for less than 2% of the associations’ overall activity.

Diagnoses of gastroenteritis are stable across all age groups and account for approximately 6% of the associations’ overall activity. The number of cases is higher than in 2012 and 2013 for the same period.

The main conditions reported across all age groups are ENT infections (nasopharyngitis, tonsillitis, and otitis) and gastroenteritis.
