Over the past week, activity at SOS Médecins clinics has remained stable across all age groups, both nationally and regionally, with patient numbers comparable to those of 2012 and 2011 for the same period. The indicator for asthma attacks has risen slightly, reaching a level higher than in 2012 and 2011 for the same period. Asthma attacks account for 1.6% of diagnoses reported by the associations’ physicians. This increase is observed among children and adults under 75 years of age. The allergy indicator has risen over the past week and accounts for 1.5% of total activity at SOS Médecins associations; this increase applies to adults aged 15 to 74 and those under 15. The current level is higher than in 2012 and comparable to the 2011 season for the same period. The gastroenteritis indicator is down across all age groups (-14%), at a level slightly higher than in 2012 and 2011 for the same period. The measles indicator has remained stable at a low level for several weeks. The death indicator is stable and comparable to 2011 and 2012 for the same period. Among children under 2 years of age, the bronchiolitis indicator is on the rise (+47 cases, 155 weekly cases). The most common conditions across all age groups are gastroenteritis (3,329 weekly cases) and nasopharyngitis (3,126 weekly cases). Note an increase in chickenpox diagnoses among children under 15 and in injuries among adults (data not shown).
