Summary
During Week 15 (April 9–15, 2018), overall activity at SOS Médecins clinics declined among both children and adults (-11%, or 8,006 fewer visits).
Visits for all seasonal winter illnesses also decreased among both children and adults. This decline was most pronounced for influenza/flu-like illness, with a decrease of at least 40% in consultations (equivalent to 766 fewer visits).
The increase in non-specific indicators remains moderate; among children under 2 years of age, it pertains to allergies (+14%, or +18 visits) and isolated fever (+6%, or +16 visits), and among adults, to asthma (+20%, or +89 visits) and allergies (+8%, or +74 visits). Among those over 75, visits for general malaise are on the rise (+28%, or +20 visits).
Among the most common conditions, there was an increase in visits for chickenpox among children under 15 (+5%, or 33 more visits), for injuries (+12%, or 40 more visits), and for urinary tract infections (+9%, or 19 more visits) among those over 75.
