Key Points
In Week 25 (June 17–23, 2024), emergency room visits and hospitalizations following emergency room visits remained stable across all age groups.
Visits for suspected COVID-19 continued to rise (+37% across all ages vs. +20% in Week 24), with 2,023 visits recorded (vs. 1,481 in Week 24). The increase was more pronounced among children than among adults (+48% vs. +35%). The proportion of cases is also increasing (0.6% vs. 0.4% in W24) and has continued its slow rise over the past ten weeks. Among other respiratory indicators, pertussis has continued to rise across all age groups since Week 10. In Week 25, it is rising among children under 3 months (+16 visits) and those aged 1–4 years (+7 visits), declining among adults aged 45 and older (-10 visits), and stable in other age groups. Pneumonia and acute bronchitis (in adults) remain at levels slightly higher than in previous years.

across all age groups: for isolated fever, particularly among children under 2 and those aged 75 and older (respectively +9% and +21%, or +170 and +71 visits) and for scarlet fever (+9%, significantly higher than in previous years among children). These two indicators have been rising for several weeks;
among children: for chickenpox (+27%, or +48 visits among children under 2);
among adults: for general malaise (+11%, or 751 more visits among those aged 15–74) and suicide attempts (+11%, or 56 more visits among those aged 45 and older).
