Summary

  • Visits to emergency departments for all causes continue to rise among adults aged 75 and older.

  • Visits for influenza/flu-like illness are rising sharply (+76%) across all age groups, with the increase being highest among adults aged 75 and older (+200%). The number of hospitalizations for influenza is rising sharply among adults over 15 years of age (+175%). The level of activity is higher than in the previous two years. The regions of eastern France (Grand Est, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur) are particularly affected by this increase, as is Île-de-France.

  • All seasonal indicators are rising among adults over 15 years of age, with a more pronounced increase among adults aged 75 and older. The activity rates among those over 15 years of age for isolated fever, bronchitis, and pneumonia are higher than in the previous two years.

  • Emergency room visits for bronchiolitis among children under two years of age remain stable at a high level. Hospitalizations continue to rise.
