Key Points

In Week 23 of 2022, indicators remained stable or declined among children and adults in the OSCOUR and SOS Médecins networks, with the exception of procedures for behavioral disorders among those aged 45 and older, which increased moderately.

The levels observed are comparable to those of previous years for all indicators.

Week 23 (June 6–12, 2022):

Data on emergency department visits from the OSCOUR® network:

  • Among children, procedures for mood disorders, suicidal acts, and anxiety disorders are stable or declining. The observed levels remain high and higher than those in 2019 and 2020 but lower or comparable to those in 2020 and 2021.

  • Among adults (ages 15 and older), visits for mood disorders, suicidal behavior, and anxiety disorders are stable or declining. The observed levels are comparable to those of previous years for all indicators.

Data on medical procedures from the SOS Médecins associations:

  • Among children, procedures for anxiety, depressive states, and behavioral disorders are within the fluctuation ranges observed since the beginning of the year. The levels observed for these three indicators are comparable to those of previous years.

  • Among adults (aged 15 and older), there is an increase in procedures for behavioral disorders among those aged 45 and older (+92%, or +12 procedures). Procedures for anxiety and depressive states are stable. The levels observed for these indicators remain comparable to or even lower than those of previous years.
