Surveillance of Occupational Diseases in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region: Results for the First Half of 2024
An occupational disease (MCP) refers to any work-related illness (or symptom) that has not been recognized as an occupational disease (MP) by the Social Security systems at the time of the visit. The OWDS Program is led in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region by Santé publique France in partnership with the Regional Directorate for the Economy, Employment, Labor, and Solidarity (DREETS) and the Regional Health Observatory (ORS) of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (PACA) region; and relies on a network of volunteer occupational health teams that anonymously report, over two consecutive weeks (“MCP Fortnights”), all cases of MCP observed during consultations, as well as the socio-professional characteristics of all employees seen. After several years of non-participation, the MCP program was relaunched in PACA in 2024 during the November two-week period.
