  • Disparities were observed among departments, with the highest standardized case rates for 2020 observed in three departments: Aude (8.3 per 100,000 inhabitants), Hérault (9.3 per 100,000 inhabitants), and Tarn-et-Garonne (10 per 100,000 inhabitants).

  • The percentage of cases reported in the 2015–18 period with treatment completed 12 months after diagnosis of active tuberculosis was 80% and thus did not meet the WHO target of 85%.

  • The number of cases of MDR (multidrug-resistant, i.e., resistant to isoniazid and rifampicin) or RR (resistant to rifampicin alone) tuberculosis reported in Occitanie was 3 in 2020, representing 0.9% of all reported cases and 4.5% of MDR cases in France.
