Bronchiolitis

• SOS Médecins: Procedures for the diagnosis of bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age remained stable at a high level compared to the previous week.

• Oscour® Network: Consultations and hospitalizations for bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age were on the rise compared to the previous week.

COVID-19

• SOS Médecins: Procedures for suspected or confirmed COVID-19 were on the rise compared to the previous week (271 procedures, 567 procedures per 10,000 consultations).

• Oscour® Network: visits for suspected COVID-19 were on the rise compared to the previous week (427 emergency room visits, or 144 per 10,000 consultations). Of these visits, 2.9% resulted in hospitalization.

Gastroenteritis and Acute Diarrhea

• SOS Médecins: Gastroenteritis activity was low in week 48 of 2023. Procedures for all ages involving a diagnosis of gastroenteritis were generally stable compared to the previous week.

• Oscour® Network: Gastroenteritis activity was low/moderate/high in week 48.

Influenza and influenza-like illness

• In week 48, the Occitanie region was not yet in the pre-epidemic/epidemic phase, particularly due to the low proportion of influenza viruses in the virological activity of university hospitals. However, syndrome-based indicators were on the rise in community practice, though the influenza etiology was not certain. Six regions of mainland France are in the pre-epidemic phase this week, mostly in the eastern part of the country.
