Mortality
Following a slight increase in deaths (all ages and those over 75) observed in weeks 28–29, the figures have been declining in recent weeks, returning to levels typically seen during this period.
Emergency department visits by vulnerable
populations The number of emergency department visits for children under 1 year of age and adults over 75 remains within the range typically observed during this period.
Notifiable Diseases (ND)
Note the persistently high incidence of IIM in the region, particularly in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. For the month of August, 3 cases of IIM C and 1 case of IIM Y were reported.
Enterovirus meningitis
The outbreak continues in Aquitaine and nationwide.
Acute gastroenteritis (AGE)
In Aquitaine, AGE activity in hospital emergency departments and primary care remains stable. A slight increase is observed nationally, though figures remain within the range typically seen during this period.
Vector-borne diseases
In Lot-et-Garonne, since the resumption of enhanced surveillance for chikungunya and dengue, 1 imported case of dengue has been confirmed by the National Reference Center for Arboviruses.
Asthma and Allergies Asthma
activity is stable in Aquitaine as well as in France. An upward trend is observed in allergy monitoring at both the regional and national levels.
Heat-related illnesses
In Aquitaine, as in France, all indicators for monitoring heat-related illnesses continue to decline and are tending to stabilize.
Jellyfish stings (indicator not detailed in the body of the document)
No new cases reported. Only a few minor cases have been reported since the surveillance system was established. However, the call for vigilance remains in effect.
