MortalityIn week 20 of 2015, the mortality rate recorded by the civil registry offices participating in the surveillance program remained, as in previous weeks, within the usual range.
Emergency room visits by at-risk populationsAccording to available data, emergency room activity for people aged 75 and older and those under 1 year of age is in line with expectations and remains slightly below the expected values for the period.
Chikungunya and dengueSince May 1, when enhanced surveillance began in the Gironde and Lot-et-Garonne departments, which are infested with Aedes albopictus, 12 suspected cases have been reported. Among them, one imported case of chikungunya has been confirmed.

Acute Gastroenteritis (AG) In Aquitaine, activity is low and continues to decline. Nationally, activity is stable or declining, within expected seasonal ranges.
Asthma and AllergiesIn Aquitaine, consultations are on the rise for allergies and stable for asthma, according to SOS Médecins and Oscour®. Forecasts indicate a high to very high risk of pollen-related allergies (grass pollen) for all departments in the region. Nationally, consultations for asthma are on the rise among those under 15; the allergy monitoring indicator is stable or slightly declining but remains higher than in the previous two years.
Respiratory virology and enterovirus meningitis: Influenza virus circulation has ceased, according to the virology laboratory at Bordeaux University Hospital; most samples are positive for rhinovirus.
ChickenpoxIn Aquitaine, healthcare utilization for chickenpox is close to expected levels for this time of year.
