Health Surveillance in Normandy. Bulletin of March 20, 2025.
Key Points
Influenza and Flu-Like Illness
Normandy has been in the post-epidemic phase for three weeks. Across all age groups, all Oscour® and SOS Médecins activity indicators continue to decline and are trending toward pre-epidemic baseline levels.
Strains A (H1N1), A (H3N2), and B/Victoria are still circulating simultaneously. Their detection is slightly decreasing in community laboratories and markedly decreasing in hospitals.
The proportion of deaths with a mention of influenza among electronically certified deaths is stable this week.
Acute gastroenteritis
Activity for acute gastroenteritis in hospital emergency departments is increasing among those under 65 years of age. This indicator remains at a high level, particularly among children and especially among those under 5 years of age.
Activity for acute gastroenteritis in private practice is decreasing but remains high among those under 15 years of age.
Among those over 65, activity in hospitals and community settings is declining and approaching baseline levels, following the increase observed in community settings in previous weeks.
