Health Surveillance in Normandy. Bulletin of February 27, 2025.
Key Points
Influenza and Flu-Like Illness
Influenza activity remains high in Normandy, although activity indicators are showing a marked decline, particularly among children. However, a slight increase in activity indicators in urban areas (SOS Médecins) is observed among people aged 65 and older.
Strains A (H1N1), A (H3N2), and B/Victoria are still circulating together. Their detection is declining in community laboratories and hospitals.
The proportion of deaths with influenza listed as a cause among electronically certified deaths is slightly decreasing but remains at a high level compared to previous epidemics.
Acute Gastroenteritis (AGE)
Activity indicators for AGE in community settings and hospitals are rising slightly to high levels across all age groups.
