Health Surveillance in Normandy. Bulletin of April 1, 2026.
Key Points
Acute Gastroenteritis
Activity is generally declining. In emergency departments, it has returned to baseline levels after a slight increase over the past two months. At SOS Médecins, activity levels remain higher than baseline, with a gradual downward trend over the past four weeks. Current levels correspond to those typically observed during the same period in previous years.
Asthma
Following the increase linked to winter epidemics, the number of asthma consultations at SOS Médecins has stabilized at a moderately high level over the past few weeks. In week 13, however, activity at SOS Médecins is on the rise. The most likely cause is an allergic reaction. The trend of this indicator should be monitored in the coming weeks with the arrival of grass pollen. In emergency departments, activity for asthma remains moderate.
Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI)
The outbreaks from the last winter season have ended. A summary of the 2025–2026 winter surveillance will be published in September.
