COVID-19
The number of SOS Médecins calls (excluding Val-d’Oise) and the proportion of cases involving suspected COVID-19 decreased in Week 42. This downward trend applied to all age groups.
The number of emergency department visits and the proportion of cases involving suspected COVID-19 decreased in week 42. Among those under 65, case numbers remained low.
The number of emergency department visits for suspected COVID-19 followed by hospitalization remained relatively stable in week 42. Hospitalizations primarily involved people aged 65 and older.
Bronchiolitis
Increase in emergency department visits for bronchiolitis among children under one year of age and stabilization of visits followed by hospitalization compared to week 41.
Decrease in calls to SOS Médecins for bronchiolitis among children under two years of age.
The All Saints’ Day holiday is usually associated with a decrease, followed by a resurgence of the epidemic.
Influenza
In hospitals, activity levels related to influenza-like illness remained low in Week 42, although indicators were rising compared to Week 41.
In the community, requests for care for influenza-like illness were increasing at SOS Médecins and decreasing in the Sentinelles network.
Acute gastroenteritis
Increase in the number of SOS Médecins visits for acute gastroenteritis among children under 15, stabilization among adults
Decrease in emergency department visits and hospitalizations for acute gastroenteritis across all age groups.
Indicators stable in the Sentinelles network.
Low activity levels at SOS Médecins clinics and in hospital emergency departments.
